Mentorship
Mentorship offers ongoing guidance for navigating a specific challenge, transition, or pattern you’re ready to move through. It can support you in building something: a practice, a body of work, a version of yourself.
People often seek mentorship when they’re ready to start a new chapter, create something they haven’t built before, or want steady, experienced guidance from someone who’s walked their own path. You may be holding a goal without a clear path or a familiar pattern you’re ready to name and shift. You may sense that you’ve outgrown where you are, or know where you want to be, but don’t know how to get there.
Rather than quick fixes or generic advice, this work attends to the specific pattern, chapter, or ambition in front of you, and to what it will actually take to move it forward.
Areas of Focus
Mentorship addresses:
A specific challenge
A transition, such as a career pivot, a move, an identity shift, an ending
A recurring pattern you’re ready to shift
Building toward a practice: creative, professional, or personal
A body of work you’re ready to commit to
Becoming a version of yourself
What You Can Expect
I’ll name what’s actually in front of you, give you a structure to work within, and we’ll determine a clear next step. The work is collaborative and you won’t be left to figure things out on your own.
My Approach
I’ve rebuilt my own life and work more than once: leaving a fifteen-year career, retraining, moving across countries and industries, and building a practice from nothing. I know what it takes to move through a chapter you haven’t got a map for, because I’ve done it myself, more than once, and that’s the perspective I bring to the work.
Additionally, my work draws on my professional training in the arts, counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and my study of myth and archetype. My work is depth-oriented, but it’s not therapy. It’s active, collaborative work to support you in achieving your goals.
In mentoring sessions, I am direct and curious. I pay attention to what is said, what is avoided, and how patterns repeat, and I ask questions that may feel unexpected.
At its core, I do the same things in all my work: I help people bring what’s beneath the surface into a form they can work with. I bring a direct, experienced perspective, naming what I see, offering a structure to work within, and giving you a clear next step rather than leaving you to find your own way through alone.
How Mentorship is Structured
Mentorship sessions are held online via Zoom.
Mentorship is most effective when it takes place within a consistent structure. Where we proceed, sessions typically occur weekly or bi-weekly at a set time.
I most often work with clients on a medium- or long-term basis. This allows space for real growth and change to take place. Shorter-term work may be appropriate in specific circumstances, focused on a specific chapter or challenge.
When This Might Not Be Right
If you’re in active crisis, need urgent clinical care, or are seeking diagnosis or treatment for a mental health condition, mentorship isn’t the right space. Please reach out to a licensed professional or local services instead.
Beginning Mentorship
All work starts with a consultation, a 50-minute session to talk through what’s in front of you and explore whether this work is a good fit. From there, we decide together whether ongoing mentorship is the right next step.
