Hypnotherapy Supervision

Supervision is a structured space for examining client work, therapeutic decisions, and the impact of clinical practice. It provides a reflective framework for developing clinical insight, ethical clarity, and professional accountability. I offer supervision for practitioners committed to a depth-oriented practice.

For Therapists Committed to Reflective Practice

I offer online supervision for hypnotherapists and other practitioners using hypnosis who want to engage thoughtfully with their clinical work, ethical responsibilities, and professional development over time.

Supervision sessions are expected to be used actively, with supervisees bringing cases, reflections, or questions for discussion. This ensures the work remains structured, exploratory, and purposeful. Supervision is conducted online over Zoom.

This supervision is most appropriate for practitioners who:

  • Are willing to engage consistently and thoughtfully with their clinical work.

  • Seek structured reflection rather than immediate reassurance or problem-solving.

  • Want to strengthen clinical reasoning, ethical decision-making, and relational awareness.

  • Aim to develop a sustainable, depth-oriented hypnotherapy practice.

Whether you are a trainee, newly qualified, or experienced practitioner, this supervision is designed to support ongoing professional development while maintaining ethical and safe practice.

The Elements of Supervision

Case Consultation

Supervision provides a structured space to examine client cases in depth, including case formulation, unconscious dynamics, relational patterns, and the use of hypnotic interventions. The focus is on understanding and reflecting on your work, rather than seeking quick solutions.

Ethical Reflection

Complex ethical situations are inevitable in therapeutic practice. Supervision offers a space to think through challenging dilemmas with clarity, integrity, and alignment with professional standards.

Professional Accountability

Regular supervision provides a framework of accountability, helping you maintain high standards, uphold ethical practice, and ensure clients receive safe, effective care.

Practitioner Sustainability

While supervision is not personal therapy, it offers a contained space to reflect on the emotional impact of clinical work, supporting professional resilience and long-term practice.

My Approach

My supervision is integrative, reflective, and clinically grounded. I support supervisees in examining their work, developing clinical reasoning, and applying hypnosis in ethically and relationally attuned ways.

I draw from an integrative framework including hypno-psychotherapeutic counselling, Ericksonian, analytical, and suggestion-based hypnotherapy. I am also trained in person-centred, psychodynamic, EFCT, and mindfulness approaches. These modalities enable me to help you develop a tailored, adaptive approach to your clinical practice.

I am a registered hypnotherapist and acknowledged supervisor with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), and work within the standards of practice and ethical codes of the GHR and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Hypnotherapy Supervision Fees

To acknowledge the varied circumstances of practitioners, I provide a suggested fee with a sliding-scale option. You may choose a fee that is respectful of your situation while honouring the supervision work. You may select a different rate as your circumstances change.

  • 50 minutes: £100 (sliding scale: £60–£120)

A focused session for case discussion, practice exploration, and navigating current challenges.

  • 80 minutes: £140 (sliding scale: £100–£180)

Extended time for in-depth case review, reflection, and supervision of complex client dynamics.

Payment is due 48 hours before the supervision session time. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are provided here and will be outlined in the supervision agreement.

Starting Supervision
