What to Expect

Consultation Call

Before your first couples therapy session, each partner must complete a 20-minute Zoom or phone consultation. This can happen on one call together or in two separate consultations.

The initial conversations help us understand your situation, answer any questions about the therapy process, and ensure our service is the right fit for your needs. During this time, we’ll discuss practical matters such as scheduling, fees, and confidentiality. Book your consultation here →

Initial Session

Your first session, which lasts 80 minutes, allows both partners to share their perspectives and concerns. We’ll discuss your relationship history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through therapy.

We can also identify key areas of conflict or disconnect, understand your communication patterns, and discuss your goals for therapy.

Couples Therapy Sessions

80-minute sessions provide space to:

  • Work through specific relationship challenges

  • Practice new communication techniques in a supported environment

  • Process difficult emotions and experiences together

  • Explore patterns and expriences from your past that affect your current relationship

  • Learn and implement conflict resolution strategies

  • Understand each partner’s background and consider how this may impact your relationship

  • Create and maintain positive changes in your relationship
